Experience
Wai Ling obtained her accountancy training and professional qualification through an articleship with an international accounting firm from 1976 to 1981.
During her tenure there, her work experience included the audits of multinationals and listed companies.
Having obtained her professional qualification and membership with the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants, she joined an accounting firm where she headed the tax department and was the named Company Secretary to 800 companies.
In 1983, she formed a partnership with Yew Hoe Poon & Yuen Lok Mok providing audit & assurance services. Mok & Poon became a member of Crowe Horwath International (CHI) in 1995, changing its name to Crowe Horwath AF1018 in 2010 and, subsequently, Crowe Malaysia when CHI rebranded to Crowe Global in 2018. Crowe Malaysia is the 5th largest accounting firm in Malaysia with more than 10 offices nationwide, with 50 partners & 1,300 employees.
Wai Ling is a founder member of the managing board of partners of Crowe Malaysia.
